Today we went and brought home our new mare! We are beyond thrilled !
We started off the morning at 4:30 am, leaving the house and stopping for coffee for us and my hauler/barn manager.
We left the barn around five thirty and started our trek over the pass.
Just as we were in our final stretch to go pick up miss mare, I glanced in my rearview and saw our team had pulled off on the side of the highway. I pulled off and slowly reversed my way back on the side of I90.
We had blown a tire!
Thanks to our trusty side kick Pete, we were back on the road in no time! We made one more pitstop to ensure all tires were inflated. Running a little more than an hour behind schedule we only had about 20 minutes left on our journey.
Finally we arrived! I made a quick visit to one of my favorite horse’s at Jen’s farm and then we went and grabbed our new baby. She was able to come home in her mom’s halter!
Finally we were back on the road home! It was about a 2 and a half hours home. We finally arrived and were able to finally turn her out at her new home!
We are excited to start working with her soon!
