Two years ago, I met what is now the greatest love of my life and simulateously, the biggest pain in my ass.
Two years ago, after a lovely three hour drive, I pulled into a small little farmhouse drive with two bay geldings out front. As I opened my door, little did I know that this horse I was coming to meet was going to become my best friend.
Two years ago I met my pony and it was prety much love at first sight. I not so patiently waited another almost month and half before he came home to me, but today still marks an important milestone.
Last year at this time we had just recently moved to our new barn and were still having major anxiety while exploring the property.
This last year, we have come so so SO FAR. We are jumping almost 2ft now and we have confidence riding out on the farm alone. His weight is amazing and he is so healthy and happy! We have some good goals for the winter and it will be exciting to see how far we come when we reflect on our progress come his “Gotcha Day”.
