Time Flies When You Are…

…having fun?

Things have been absolutely CRAZY around our farm and the house too really. Its been a really busy several weeks.

Where do we even start? Well in non-horsey news we unfortunately had to say goodbye to our oldest kitty two weeks ago. She was with me for 14 years and is sorely missed by us. It was a hard but correct decision.

Another sad note, the meet at Emerald Downs is over for the season and we have to go SIX MONTHS! til the ponies run again!

On the other hand, its football season! Seahawks are currently 2-3 but that doesnt count us yet for post season.

On to pony news, I cantered Ruffi for the first time about 3 weeks ago, albeit on the lunge line, but it was a step in the right direction. We then had to take a little bit of time off because she pulled a shoe. Which ultimately led to us switching farriers.

Why do even horse professionals have to be so fucking WEIRD!

Bacardi and I signed up for Ride for the Roses at Donida Farm. Our first REAL competitive field trip. We are signed up for combined test but may also dabble in some halter classes on Friday night. We will keep you posted.

Bacardi and I are also solidly jumping 2 foot now, which has been a long time coming. Hopefully we can start raising some of those heights soon!!!!!

Other than that, I have made the decision that after Ride for the Roses, I am gonna give B some time off and focus most of the winter on Ruffi and really get some miles on her.

Happy Riding and wish us luck!
