Ruffi had her follow up vet visit today with the farrier to redo radiographs of her feet. Thankfully we only had good news.
Miss Mare is in much less pain than she has been. She was incredibly well behaved for having her shoes taken off. She stood for the vet without sedation for x-rays, and was much better for the farrier than she normally is. It took the farrier much less time than it has in the past to get her shoes tacked back on. For the remainder of the muddy season, mare will remain in limited turn out simply to lessen the liklihood of her pulling her shoes for now.
However, she has been cleared to return to under saddle work. We will get her started walking 10-15 minutes a few times a weeks and get her fitness back up. We are very excited for this development! It has been nearly two years since I rode my mare and I am so excited to get back to it!! Its been nearly two years since I have been aboard my big girl! I am so looking forward to it!
